Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 Saturday, October5, 2024 at Men of God Outreach Ministries for Mozell Evans, 89, of Wiggins who died September 26, 2024, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson.

Reverend Micheal Robinson will officiate.

Mrs. Evans was born in Hazelhurst, MS to the late Mose and Mary Jones. At an early age, she was a member of Chapel Hill Batist Church in Copiah County. She later moved to Wiggins.

Mrs. Evans became employed at Azalea Gardens Nursing Home and retired in 1995. She joined Men of God Outreach Ministries under the leadership of Rev. Micheal and Theresa Robinson where she served as Church Mother.

Mrs. Mozell was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Evans; three sons, Larry Ramsey, Curlee Ramsey and Phillip Ramsey; daughter-in-law, Elnora Ramsey; brothers, Lawrence, Luther, Larry and Charles Jones; sisters, Margarett Roberson, Doris and Annette Nicholson, all of Hazelhurst.

She leaves to cherish her memories, daughters, Bobby Grady, Mary (George) Fairley, Theresa (Micheal) Robinson and Aylesa Kelley; sons, Robert (Katherine) Ramsey and Randy Ramsey; 26 grandchildren, 63 great grands and 3 great-great grands; special friends, Zella Hartfield, Hulda Johnson, Linda Knights-Clark and Bessie Maxwell.
