Services are scheduled for 1:00, Friday at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church for Mellonese Husband, 89, of Wiggins, who died February 15, 2024, at her residence.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Husband was a lifelong member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Teacher and Deaconess.

She was a graduate of John White High School.

Prior to retiring and caring for her grandchildren, she was employed at Ash Tree Nursery in Brooklyn.

Mrs. Husband is survived by her husband of 65 years, George T. Husband; two sons, Ronald (Teresa) Husband and Kenneth Husband; two daughters, Jacqueline Dejernett of Los Angeles, CA and Regenia Husband of Bentonville, AR; stepdaughter, Joyce Jackson of Wiggins and stepson, Clifford Grady of Monroe, LA; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
