Services are scheduled Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at Owens-Ramey Funeral Home for Charles Edward Atkinson, 55, of Wiggins who died February 11, 2024 at his residence.

Interment will be in New Zion Cemetery.

Charles Edward “Pee Wee” was the only child born to the late Charles Atkinson and Annie Louise Breland Atkinson.

He attended the Wiggins Church of Christ. Charles was a graduate of Stone High School and attended MGCCC Perkinston Campus for 2 years. He was employed by Burger King in Gulfport and later at Piggly Wiggly in Wiggins.

Mr. Atkinson was preceded in death by his father, Charles Atkinson.

He leaves to mourn his passing, his mother, Annie Louise “Lou” Atkinson of Wiggins; sister, Bernadette Thompson; two brothers, Charleston (Regina) Atkinson and Shedrick Atkinson; two aunts, Louella (Bobby) Evans and Charlie Mae Breland; one uncle, Liston Breland; two great aunts, Emma Doris Calloway and Marlean James and a host of cousins. His favorite friends and family members were Willie Earl Calloway, Stanley Ray Calloway, Woodrow Calloway, Tommy Lee James, Shon Morrison, Ruby Brown, David Faulkner and Freddie Faulkner. Throughout the years, he never had children, but he provided loving care to his second cousin, Rhea Morrison, his arguing buddy.

Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 Friday at the chapel.
